Two new species of Flintiella Angrisano 1995 (Trichoptera: Hydroptilidae: Stactobiini) from northern Brazil.

Two new species of Flintiella Angrisano 1995 are described and illustrated from specimens collected with light traps in the states of Pará and Roraima, northern Brazil. Flintiella serrana sp. nov. can be distinguished from all other species in the genus by the subgenital plate with incised apex, and two pairs of ventral processes. Flintiella triaena sp. nov. is distinctive with no clearly similar congeners and can be distinguished from all known species in the genus by the trident-like subgenital plate in ventral view. Additionally, we record the genus Flintiella for the first time in Roraima State.

Two new species of Helicopsyche Siebold 1856 (Insecta: Trichoptera: Helicopsychidae) from Pará State, northern Brazil.

Two new species of Helicopsychidae from Pará State, Brazil, are described and illustrated: male of Helicopsyche (Feropsyche) carajas n. sp. is characterized by segment X having 8 pairs of subequal megasetae distributed in a pair of longitudinal rows; the primary branch of each gonocoxite, in lateral view, with its basal half nearly as broad as its median part and parallel-sided, its posterior apex directed slightly ventrad and slender and strongly pointed; the dorsal lobes of the endotheca posteriorly protruding, and the lateral lobes of the endotheca well developed. Helicopsyche (Feropsyche) inflata n. sp. is characterized by the hind wings each having very long fringes along the anal border; the primary branch of each gonocoxite having a pointed apex in lateral view and its basimesal lobe being triangular in lateral and ventral views and bearing eight megasetae; and the dorsal lobe of the endotheca being very well developed in lateral view.

Two new species of Hydroptilidae (Insecta: Trichoptera) from the Serra dos Carajás, Pará state, northern Brazil.

Two new species of Hydroptilidae from Pará, Brazil, are described and illustrated: Costatrichia inaequalis sp. nov. is a distinctive species characterized principally by the lateral processes on tergum IX rounded and each bearing a long dorsal seta. Oxyethira carajas sp. nov. is characterized by the inferior appendages fused, incised mesally, narrowing posterolaterally, and each bearing a stout apical seta and having its ventral process blade-like. New distributional records are given for a species of Neotrichia for which the name is unpublished.

First occurrence of Anacroneuria singularis Righi-Cavallaro Lecci, 2010 (Plecoptera: Perlidae) in Rondônia, western Amazonia, Brazil.

Anacroneuria singularis is newly reported from the northern Brazilian state of Rondônia in the western Amazonia. Records for this species are also reported for the central-western and southeastern regions of Brazil. Knowledge of the distribution of a species is fundamental for allowing better conservation planning, especially the identification of nymphs which can be used to evaluate water quality of Amazonian streams.

Checklist of the Plecoptera of Brazilian Amazon (Insecta: Plecoptera: Perlidae).

The species diversity of the Plecoptera of the Brazilian Amazon is still little known, although some localities have been relatively well-studied. A preliminary list of 27 valid Plecoptera species, based on collections from 66 different localities is presented. Additional efforts to collect Plecoptera at new sites should considerably increase the number of recorded species of Amazonian.

Key to Plecoptera nymphs from the Brazilian Amazon (Insecta).

Nymphs of 22 species of Plecoptera from the Brazilian Amazon are keyed and illustrated to enhance their usefulness as water quality indicator taxa. Four described species of Anacroneuria, two species of Macrogynoplax, and two species of Enderleina have been associated with adults: Anacroneuria marlieri, A. manauensis, A. minuta, A. singularis, M. delicata, M. pulchra, E. froehlichi, and E. flinti. Nymphs of 14 additional morphospecies not yet associated with adults are included. Characters of the head, pronotum, mesonotum, and metanotum are used to distinguish late instar nymphs.

Description of the nymph of Anacroneuria singularis Righi-Cavallaro & Lecci (Plecoptera: Perlidae) and a new locality record for northern Brazil.

The last instar nymph of Anacroneuria singularis Righi-Cavallaro & Lecci is described and figured from reared specimens collected in Pará State, Brazil, a new locality record for Brazil. The nymphs of this species differ from other known species by the uniformly dark brown anterior of the head and the ochraceous spots of the pronotum.

Description of immatures associated with adults of two species of Macrogynoplax Enderlein and one species of Enderleina Jewett (Plecoptera: Perlidae) of the Brazilian Amazon.

Nymphs of Macrogynoplax delicata Ribeiro-Ferreira & Froehlich, 1999, M. pulchra Ribeiro-Ferreira & Froehlich, 1999, and E. froehlichi Ribeiro-Ferreira, 1996 were associated with adults by rearing and described for the first time. The known distribution of each species has been increased.

Description of immatures and association with adults of three species of Anacroneuria Klapálek (Plecoptera: Perlidae) of the Brazilian Amazon.

Nymphs of three species of the genus Anacroneuria Klapálek, 1909, A. marlieri Froehlich, 2001; A. minuta Klapálek, 1922, and A. manauensis Ribeiro-Ferreira, 2001 are described. The associations of nymphs with adults were made by rearing. The known geographical distribution in Brazil of these three species was expanded.

Leptophlebiidae (Ephemeroptera) da Amazônia brasileira / Leptophlebiidae (Ephemeroptera) from brazilian Amazonia

Na Amazônia brasileira são registradas dezenove espécies de Leptophlebiidae, distribuídas em dez gêneros. Neste trabalho é apresentada uma lista de todos os gêneros de Leptophlebiidae ocorrentes na Região Neotropical, o numero de espécies de cada gênero no Brasil e um catálogo das espécies registradas na Amazônia brasileira.

Brazilian Amazonia has nineteen registered species of Leptophlebiidae, distributed in ten genera. In this work a list of all genera of Leptophlebiidae from the Neotropical Region is presented, the number of species of each genus in Brazil and a catalog of the species occurring in the Brazilian Amazon.
